QA Engineer, Black Box Testing
We are looking for an intelligent, independent, talented, and easy to work with quality assurance engineer with solid knowledge of testing web-based applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing test plans from functional requirements and design specifications.
- Development and execution of detail test cases.
- Troubleshooting, filing and verifying bugs. Black Box UI testing of customer facing (B2B and B2C) and internal applications.
- Data base testing including areas such as data vs. UI validation, data population, data transformation, etc.
- Passion for QA with strong emphasis towards Black Box testing.
- 2+ years experience in software Black Box UI and database testing.
- Solid understanding of QA processes and procedures and their role in the SDLC.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in testing Web-based applications.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, Visio and other office productivity tools.
- Good understanding of web specifics such as JavaScript, browser specific behavior, HTTP basics, CSS, URL parsing, etc.
- Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server or Oracle (relational database basics, SQL, stored procedures, etc.).
- Basic understanding of testing automation. Segue Silk knowledge is a plus.
- Relentless attention to details, strong task planning and tracking capabilities.
- Strong diagnostic, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Person with strong passion for Quality.
- Detail oriented, methodical, meticulous, and process-oriented person who is prepared to instill the processes in a diverse fast changing and not process-oriented environment.
- Ambitious self-starter with get-it-done attitude who strives for results and performs well under pressure.
- Small company / start up mentality with appreciation for the benefits of structure.
- Good communicator and collaborator with strong verbal and written skills.
